Prototyping skills
Programming & electronics
Moudling
I worked as a Junior Innovation Engineer at Fugro. My project came from the electrical department and the aim was to design a testing device for the sensor nodes of Fugro. This is where I got comfortable using electronics.
Because of this, I learned a lot about prototyping with electronics like soldering & wiring. I can work with most microcontrollers and Raspberry Pi with ease. This also means I can code in C++ and that I am sufficient in Python.
During my master's, I had to develop a silicone skin to cover a product. For this, I had to do a lot of experimenting with making 3d-printed moulds.
I tried different methods such as rotational moulding and moulds consisting of multiple parts kept together with magnets.
Cad & 3D-printng
I am sufficient at CAD modeling in SolidWorks and hope to get better at it in the future.
During my master, I bought a 3D printer to use for my projects. I experimented a lot with different filaments, infills, and shapes.
Sewing
I am good at sewing and have the skill set to work with most materials. I can construct garments and make patterns.
Sewing is one of my passions, and I am always looking to learn techniques to give garments a beautiful finish and overall look.
I am motivated to work with waste materials and sustainable durable materials. My goal is to make functional clothing for women, that is made to fit, and always has pockets, always. Furthermore, I am interested in making soft sculptures and textile art.
